Report by the RAPEX 2012 report 7, Handicraft set “Lillifee Bastelzauber” (Lillifee fairy magic activity set), Type/number of model: Lillifee Bastelzauber (Lillifee fairy magic activity set), No 7/2011 poses a chemical risk because the heart sticker contains 4.3% by weight of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). The DEHP content in the princess shoe sample also exceeds the permitted levels.
According to the REACH Regulation, the phthalates DEHP, DBP and BBP are prohibited in all toys and childcare articles, while phthalates DINP, DIDP and DNOP are prohibited in toys or childcare articles that can be placed in the mouth by children.
The product is voluntary withdrawal from the market and recall from consumers by the distributor.
