Reported by RAPEX 2010 report 28, Brand Bio life – Mule sandal shoes (art no. 48216-112 EAN 4300175165723, Size: 44) poses a chemical risk because it contains 25.0 mg/kg of Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) in the silica gel.
Dimethylfumarate is a substance which is strongly sensitising on contact with the skin, and consumer products containing dimethylfumarate are banned according to Commission Decision 2009/251/EC.
Voluntary withdrawal from the market by the importer.
