{"id":3452,"date":"2024-10-18T10:39:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T08:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/productip2.dev.peakfort.nl\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3452"},"modified":"2025-08-29T15:00:20","modified_gmt":"2025-08-29T13:00:20","slug":"will-the-eudr-be-postponed-until-end-of-2025","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.productip.com\/de\/nachrichten\/will-the-eudr-be-postponed-until-end-of-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Will the EUDR be postponed until end of 2025?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>(Update)<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, while ProductIP was in Brussels, the European Council has agreed with the Commission&rsquo;s proposal to postpone implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) by one year.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second step, after the EU Commission announced in a <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/en\/ip_24_5009\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Press release<\/a> its proposal for the postponement on October 2nd.<\/p>\n<p>The final step will be the voting in the plenary session of the European Parliament on November 13-14.<\/p>\n<p>If the proposal is approved by the European Parliament, the EUDR will take effecton 30 December 2025; micro and small enterprises will have an extra six months, until 30 June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission&#8217;s proposal was accompanied by the release of the long-awaited <a href=\"https:\/\/green-business.ec.europa.eu\/publications\/guidance-eu-deforestation-regulation_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EUDR Guidance document<\/a>.
