Regulation (EU) 2025\/511<\/a> required that custom authorities register imports of candles coming from China. This special registration was started on 21 March 2025 and applied to articles classified with CN Code<\/a> 3406 00 00 „candles, tapers and the like“. The registration was part of the investigation to determine whether candles imported from China are being dumped on the EU market, damaging the European candle industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The registration has ended now as the investigation reached its initial conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After an extensive investigation, communication with interested parties, and verification of all information, the Commission concluded that the dumped imports cause damage to the European industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It has now published the 53-pages long, implementing Regulation (EU) 2025\/1732<\/a> introducing a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of candles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The provisional anti-dumping duties have been set at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Regulation entered directly into force on August 14, 2025. The current duties are provisional and may be amended at a later stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interested parties now have 5 calendar days to request a hearing and 15 calendar days to submit their written comments on this regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The European Commission is responsible for investigating dumping claims and imposing measures. Dumping<\/strong> means that a product is exported to the EU at a price lower than the price as sold on the home market or based on actual costs.
