Default symbol on a battery

The symbol shown in Annex IX of the WEEE directive 2012/19/EU - preferably according to EN 50419.
According to Article 15.2 of the WEEE Directive (and based on clause 4 of EN 50419) the following two
markings shall be applied on the product to identify a) the producer and b) that the equipment is put on the market after 13 August 2005:
(a) An unique identification of the producer: brand name, trademark, company registration number or other suitable means.
(b1) The date of manufacture / put on the market, in un-coded text in accordance with ISO 8601 or other coded text, for which the code shall be made available for treatment facilities or:
(b2) Marking with an additional mark (the bar) as shown in the figure to the left.
The symbol shall have a minimum height of 7 mm (a = 3,33 mm). The bar shall be at least 1 mm (0,3 a).
The symbol’s dimensional relationship is the same as required for batteries and defined in EN 61429.
