Language obligations
Many directives require that products are accompanied by instructions and safety information in a language which can be easily understood by consumers and other end-users.
This applies specifically to products that can only be used safely with instructions and safety information.
Each EU Member State has determined the mandatory language(s), typically all its official languages.
The table shows the languages to be used for instructions and safety information for all the Member States of the European Economic Area (EEA).
