PPE: I, II or III

07-05-2024

The classification of personal protective equipment (PPE) into one of the three possible categories is a recurring question from our customers.

Especially because the classification of PPE results in possible involvement of one or even two Notified Bodies. And then the next question often is about what the exact activities of those Notified Bodies are. Why is CE marking with the ID number of a Notified Body sometimes required but not always. What to mention on the EU Declaration of Conformity. A new article providing answers to all these questions is available now in ProductIPedia:  https://www.productip.com/kb/productipedia/compliance-resources/ppe-i-ii-iii

This climate-friendly by design rules are also good news for manufacturers of related products such as insulation materials, smart temperature controls and solar panels.
