Today, on the last day of the year, the EU published Regulation (EU) 2024/3190 announcing the ban of bisphenol A (BPA) for use in food contact materials and articles.
The new regulation amends Regulation (EU) 10/2011 on plastic food contact materials and it repeals the existing restrictions on bisphenol A laid down in Regulation (EU) 2018/213. It enters into force twenty days later on January 20,2025. For more details refer to the article in ProductIPedia.
