Excluded requirements

27-01-2025

Introduction

The term “not applicable” has been replaced with ‘excluded.’ While the function remains the same, we believe that this new terminology suits recent improvements much better.

To recollect: requirements can be excluded for various reasons:

  1. The suitable edition of the standard was selected via the “requirement transitions” option, the other editions became redundant.
  2. An alternative standard was chosen for the risk assessment and added manually, replacing the proposed requirement.
  3. The requirement is considered not suitable, based on the details or specifications of the product or material.
  4. The requirement is not addressed in the present technical file but in another file and/or by another party.

In all cases, it is recommended to attach an explanatory note to the “exclude” requirement.
