ProductIP introduces multilingual AI-supported product search
Search in your own language
Users can now search for products in ProductIP using their own words. And that does not only mean their national language. It also means the way people naturally describe a product using relevant keywords.
For example, a user might search for: “kerstboom verlichting knipperende rode led lampjes”
If that sentence means nothing to you, that is perfectly normal.
It is Dutch for: “Christmas tree lights blinking red LED lamps.”
In real supply chains, people rarely search using perfect product names or internal article numbers. They search using the keywords that describe the product.
ProductIP now allows users to do exactly that — while still connecting them to the correct product and the correct regulatory checklist. Starting collaboration around the regulatory checklist in ProductIP — comprehensive, monitored and actionable — just became easier.

Built on years of compliance evidence intelligence
ProductIP has used intelligent document analysis since 2012 through its MatchIT engine. MatchIT analyses documents in technical files and helps determine whether they belong in a file and which regulatory requirements they may support.
With this new search functionality, ProductIP now applies intelligence earlier in the workflow — when users select the correct product.
Version 1 now live
The first version of this feature is now available in the ProductIP platform.Initial testing has been done internally. Feedback from users will help improve the system further.
Future updates will include additional improvements such as enhanced text matching and fuzziness.
